Hello I am SSG Dave, I have been serving my country for 15 years and my experience
with the Army active duty and the National Guard has been an experience that
I would not trade for $1,000,000. There are many jobs you can choose from and
for myself I have worked as a communication technician, truck driver, and now
will becoming an Army Chaplin.
You could choose from many Jobs such as what I have done, as an Army truck driver
I qualified for my CDL in the state of Florida. A Job you can use in the Civilian
sector to make $40,000-$90,000 a year. You could become a Communication Technician
in the civilian sector making $33,000-$85,000 a year. There are so many jobs
in The Army you can choose and they help you in your civilian world. You
become one of a team and a team of one!
While the time is right you can choose a job known as the crucial MOS (Military Occupational Specialty—a job), that will give you a $20,000 (Up front) signing bonus, jobs the Army need to fill for the importance of the Army mission. (just ask and I will send you a list of these jobs). But here are a few to see if you like Communication Tech, Aviation Tech or Pilot (Helicopters), Medic (several medical positions), Petroleumn specialist, Inventory specialits, Military Police, Transport operator, Mechanic and many more.
Do you plan on attending college? Then let the Army guard/Florida pay for it. You can earn your Bachelors Degree at the expense of the Guard/Florida. In fact you could go to college and not get deployed for Two years on the “Start First” program.
As a Gaurd member you can qualify for the Military Honors Program and get paid your rank and no less than $50 a day for rendering honors for our Veterans (veterans of past and presesnt) and only work 2-4 hours.
